Upon successful completion of this training course, you will:• Understand how the role of Lead Professional applies to your work
This course will enable you to:• Understand the background to, role, skills and responsibilities of the Lead Professional• Know the four levels of need described in the Continuum of Need and corresponding service interventions• Be familiar with the typical activities they would be expected to undertake with a child with unmet additional needs• Understand the purpose of and responsibilities of the Team Around the Child (or TAC)
The full course is separated into two courses:• Lead Professional Introduction• Lead Professional ProcessThis course is comprised of the following tutorials:• Overview: Lead Professional (27 screens)• Hints and Tips: Based on Overview (9 screens)• Overview: Continuum of Need (22 screens)• Scenarios: Based on Overview (4 screens)• Overview: Service Delivery Process (13 screens)• Scenarios: Based on Overview (3 screens)• Overview: Team Around the Child (18 screens)• Scenarios: Based on Overview (3 screens)• Four Learning Games: Based on Overviews (20 slides)• And two QuizzesNote: A ‘screen’ or ‘slide’ contains - content, illustrations, Flash animation, questions, interactive buttons and audio.
This course is intended for all children’s workforce practitioners, i.e. all staff who work with children, young people and their families. Although this course forms part of an induction programme for new starters, it is also intended for all practitioners who want to improve their knowledge and continue their professional development.
This course takes approximately 110 to 130 minutes to complete.Note: There is no set time limit as it is down to how fast or slow you want to take each course and whether or not you want to take a course in one sitting or in stages.
At the end of this course is a quiz which contains questions based on the course content.The pass mark is set at 80%.Upon successful completion of the quiz the course will be marked as Complete and you will be automatically awarded and instantly emailed a personalised Certificate of Completion.You can retake the quiz at any time.
