The CAF will promote more effective, earlier identification of additional needs, particularly in universal services.
It is intended to provide a simple process for a holistic assessment of a child's needs and strengths, taking account of the role of parents, carers and environmental factors on their development.

Upon successful completion of this training course, you will:

Objectives

This course will enable you to:
• Understand the roles and responsibilities of managers implementing the CAF
• Understand the barriers and success factors for a CAF implementation

This course contains the following tutorials:
• Overview: Roles and Responsibilities (19 screens)
• Hints and Tips: Based on Overview (7 screens)
• Learning Game: Based on Overview (5 screens)
• And a Certification Quiz

Audience

This course is intended for all children’s workforce practitioners, i.e. all staff who work with children, young people and their families.
Although this course forms part of an induction programme for new starters, it is also intended for all practitioners who want to improve their knowledge and continue their professional development.

Duration

This course takes approximately 25 to 35 minutes to complete.
Note: There is no set time limit as it is down to how fast or slow you want to take each course and whether or not you want to take a course in one sitting or in stages.

Certification

At the end of this course is a quiz which contains questions based on the course content.
The pass mark is set at 80%.
Upon successful completion of the quiz the course will be marked as Complete and you will be automatically awarded and instantly emailed a personalised Certificate of Completion.
You can retake the quiz at any time.
